Hi, It's been online for at least a decade. There are thousands of fandoms across movies, TV, books, etc. If you have an obscure fandom (like an anime), you're likely to find it on fanfiction.net. However, the filters and most of the other accessories (favorite, follow, etc. + user accounts) aren't very good. Also, there's not even a tagging system, so the archive is hard to navigate. If you're looking for a specific type of fic like fix-it, time travel, or fluff, all you have to go off of is the work’s summary. Furthermore, the overall aesthetic is just very plain and cluttered. You can even look at your history! Furthermore, (and this is one of the best features on AO3) for offline reading, you can even download fics as PDFs. Alright, so now that I've finished singing my praises for AO3, there is one thing that annoys me. When you get an account, you can't just create it immediately. First, you have put your email on waiting list and wait for AO3 to send you an email with how to create your account. Thanks! For more details: whiteboard animation video
